Application Icons
Customizing your application's icon is as simple as replacing the icon.svg in the app template provided in the developer downloads with your custom icon. The CSS framework handles the formatting and presentation, rounds the corners adds box shadow and removes these depending on the application. You can also use png files if you need to either with or with out transparency.
Tips
- When saving svg's if you are using a program like illustrator to export your svg, it will likely add some unecessary comments, open the svg in a text editor and remove the height and width attributes from the svg and any comments before the svg element. This will allow for proper scaling of the image across supported browsers.
- If using a png for your application icon it is recommended that the image be 188px x 188px with approximately 16px of clear space around the icon.
- If saving either svg or png formats if you have a background colour please ensure that it goes from corner to corner do not round the corners on your icon the mergini css will handle it.
